The hike continually crosses multiple parks including the Grand Tetons National Park as well as the Jedediah Smith Wilderness / Caribou-Targhee National Forest, and the scenery was impressive in all of them. Each new valley had something different and new to see.

This national park was created on this day in 1920 and first known as the Kootenay Dominion Park. It is one of the seven contiguous national and provincial parks forming the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site.
